A lot of people believe that serious injuries only happen to others. The Preventable campaign is all about catching people's attention right at the moment of potential risk, making them recognize that preventable injuries can in fact happen to them too.

With the traffic challenges during the 2010 Winter Games, ICBC as an Official Supporter of the Games wanted to promote safe driving. The campaign reminds everyone to do their part during the Olympics by driving smart.

Am I really as smart of a driver as I think? That’s what we wanted BC drivers to ask themselves when we tested their notion of speed, awareness, and reflex with an interactive online challenge.

Although most people think driving is easy, it’s probably the most complex thing we do every day. The ICBC Drive Smart awareness campaign dispels the myth that driving is simple and encourages BC drivers to take the task of driving more seriously.
